Privacy

Privacy policy

Written in plain language. A privacy policy you cannot read is no privacy policy at all.

What this site collects

This website collects no personal information. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics in the browser, embeds nothing from a third party, and asks for nothing through a form. When you load a page, Cloudflare, which serves the site, keeps standard edge request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and delivery, in aggregate and for a limited period. Those logs are not used to profile or track you.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent requirements under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 attach to the collection and use of personal information. This site sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser’s storage, and collects no personal information when you visit, so there is nothing to consent to. A banner here would only ask you to agree to something that never happens. There is no banner because the site was built so it does not need one.

Booking a fit call

Scheduling is handled off this site by Cal.com, Inc., a third-party booking service based in the United States. Its booking form collects only your name and email address, along with the time you choose. Cal.com processes and stores that information under its own privacy terms, on systems located in the United States. This means your information may be processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of another country. HYNTYT remains accountable for it under PIPEDA, uses it only to schedule and prepare for the call, and keeps only what it needs to arrange the meeting and any follow-up. Cal.com's own privacy policy is available on its site.

If you would rather not use the booking tool, you can email HYNTYT instead. That message stays in HYNTYT's Google Workspace inbox as ordinary business correspondence.

Client engagement data

Information exchanged during a paid engagement is handled under the terms of the engagement agreement, which governs confidentiality, retention, and use. This policy covers the website; the engagement agreement covers the working relationship.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 you have rights to access the personal information an organisation holds about you, to ask that it be corrected, and, in defined circumstances, to ask that it be deleted. Because this site holds no personal information about visitors, those requests are most relevant to booking or engagement data. To make a request, email james@hyntyt.tech and it will be actioned in accordance with those laws.
